We eat here most times when we get to the Poconos. Whether we want hibachi or sit at the sushi bar, we always leave satisfied. we went to eat there just last night and Erick and Stevie made sure everything came out perfect which it did. good food and good company.
Great spot I was coming from camel back saw a sign 5 minutes realistically was 13 minutes so they did good marketing on there part because we were going anyway when we saw sushi! Awesome sushi I must say I eat sushi almost 4 times a week and this was amazing. It was my 1st time here And was surprised at how beautiful the place was and how big it was! I highly recommend this place to anyone but it is a little on the high price for the food. I don't know if it's high price for the area though because it was the only place I walked in to for food around the area I am from Long island and I'm never seen too many spots around this price but yet again the place was phenomenal and I don't mind paying a little more for better quality and it was better quality!! I will 100% be here again and enjoyed it!! Thanks KS Desaki! It
Eating at Desaki is a real treat for our family. The food is always fresh and well prepared. The restaurant is impeccably clean... which is always something I look at when eating at any restaurant. Their sushi is hands down the best sushi in the Poconos. Wait staff is professional an courteous. Well deserved 5 stars.
I went to desaki for the first time with my family to celebrate my sister's birthday and it couldn't have been better. Our servers Alex and Tommy took great care of us in the private VIP room. We really felt at home with the roomy atmosphere and well mannered staff. Mickey and Stevie cooked food that was outstanding while keeping our entire party of 16 entertained. Highly recommend this restaurant when visiting the beautiful Pocono Mountains!
When I walked in I came in with a positive mind but left with a negative. The hibachi experience left a lot to be desired. No onion volcano, even for the kids at the table for their first time. Just light up the grill with fire, flip some flaming spatulas for a bit and flick some cucumber. Then small talk. Beyond that, I think the experience was watered down by the side by side grill and the large amount of people. Had one chef and his assistant that basically just made the rice and noodles. For a minimal show, the price was extremely high. If you ask for water, you're charged 0.25 for a bottle of water (Sam's Club water, Members Mark, says so on the label under the restaurant's label they wrap over it.) Don't worry, they can bring you a glass of ice but expect to pour it yourself. 18% tip is forced charged and it's "nice" they tell you that as the bills are being handed out. Three people in my group and with tip the bill was $196 with gratuity. If I were in Vegas I'd anticipate a bill like that with a quality show. Not here unfortunately. Disappointed.
